Why is FOV important?
The FOV (Field of View) determines how much of the virtual world you see on your screen. A
mathematically correct FOV (1:1) makes the relationship between perceived speed and distance
real. If the FOV is incorrect, you will struggle to calculate braking points and cornering
speed.
How to measure correctly?
- Distance: Measure from the tip of your nose to
the center of the screen in your usual driving position.
- Diagonal: This is the commercial size of your
monitor (e.g., 27", 32").
- Bezels: Only for triples. Measure the plastic
border of one monitor plus that of the adjacent monitor.
